Ms. Mc Givern’s 4th and 5th class had been examining eco-towns in SESE and how we can make our own homes and school eco-friendly. Suggestions included solar panels, turning of the lights and taps when not in use and recycling products between general, recycle and compost among others. In groups the students then created their own eco-friendly home from a variety of recycled materials and presented them to the other classes
Just a snapshot of some of the activities the kids took part in during our 3rd summer camp which included creating bridges, designing their own cushions, swimming, baking, arts and crafts and outdoor activities among others.
3rd, 4th and 5th class students really enjoyed their school tour at Lough Allen Adventure Centre in Drumshanbo.
On Wednesday the 20th of May thewhole school put on a concert showcasing all they have learned from Mandythroughout the year.
