Last year we were awarded our 10^th Green Flag where the school examined Global Citizenship. Students brought in a variety of products and the Green School Committee alongside Ms. Glancy identified the origin of each item and the distance which it travelled to reach our local supermarket.  The Committee then placed these items around our map of the world and marked on the map the country from which these products originated.  We had a ceremony last June  to raise our flag and members of the Green Schools Committee spoke about all the work they did over the year.

 

This year we are taking part in a pilot program focusing on travel.  We will introduce the notion of ‘No Idling’ around school gates i.e. we will become more aware of leaving engines running in cars/buses.
