The Parents Association (PA) works with the Principal, staff and the Board of Management (BOM) to help build an effective partnership between home and school.
The Education Act, 1998 sets out the role the Parents Association as a support for parents of children attending the school. The PA can advise the Principal and Board of Management on policy issues and incidents that may require a review of school policy e.g. g Bullying, Safety, Homework and Behaviour among others. The PA can also suggest and/or organise extracurricular activities
At St. Brigid’s N.S. we have a newly appointed Parents Association. Their first event was organising tea and coffee in the school for parents after First Holy Communion on the 3rd of May.
The members of the Parents Association are;
Chairperson – Samantha Bach
Secretary – Linda Gill
Treasurer – Emma Lynch
Assistant Treasurer – Nicola Quinn
