Our school is a 9 teacher school. Our school promotes a Catholic ethos and is under the patronage of the Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise. We aim to promote the full and harmonious development of our students. Our school welcomes children of all faiths and backgrounds, while acknowledging the right of each pupil to education in a disruption free environment
Â
St. Brigids consists of 9 classroom teachers, 5 resource/learning support teachers, 6 Special Needs Assistants, our school secretary and our Principal. All members of our staff are diligent, kind, caring and hard-working individuals. They promote a positive safe environment for all pupils to thrive.
Â
The school is comprised of bright large classrooms, each equipped with an interactive whiteboard and internet access. The school also has 5 learning support rooms which allow groups to be withdrawn from classes to support children’s learning in a variety of areas.
Â
Our yards and pitch are child centred, exciting and active places. All children are encouraged to be active during each break. We operate Lunch Time Pals in the yard, where pupils from 5th and 6th Class organise, help and encourage students in Junior and Senior Infants to play and socialise at break time
