This is our 2^nd year running our DEIS Literacy and Numeracy Program after it was a great success last year.  Last year we ran our camp for two weeks where students from Junior Infants to Sixth Class were engaged in a variety of fun activities to develop their literacy and numeracy skills.  Activities included literacy and numeracy games, baking, making slime, dancing, music and art. The kids were also brought on a variety of trips which included visits to their local library where there were arts and crafts for them in addition to buddy reading between older and younger children. The students also visited the outdoor swimming pool in Drumshanbo. To wrap up each week we held a table quiz and a sports day. The students really enjoyed last year’s camp.
