On the 2nd of May 4^th and 5^th class received a Supervalu lets grow pack which  had a variety of seeds including sunflower seeds, lettuce, cress and peas.  The pack also included compostable pots and compost disks for the students to start their seeds in. The students mixed their compost disks with water and placed them in their compostable pots.  They then placed their seeds into the pots and covered them with the compost. They left them in the windowsill of the classroom for them to grow and watered them every day.  When the seedlings appeared the students took their plants home and their teacher transplanted the sunflower seeds into larger pots outside and placed them around the school.
