The kids are really enjoying music with Mandy on a Wednesday. She engages the students in a variety of activities including using egg shakers to keep the beat of a song, call and response songs, using scarves to react to the tempo of the music and introducing the children to a variety of different instruments including drums and chime bells.
it has been lovely having our four students back in our Junior Autism Class this year along with the arrival of two new Junior Infants to our room who are settling in well to the class.
We took advantage of the sun and treated ourselves to a picnic in the forest which gave a reprieve from the heat of the sun. It was great to have the girls from 5th class to assist with the set up. Everyone enjoyed a variety of treats and drinks.
It was lovely having some pupils from 5th class down to assist with activities and games in the Junior Autism Class.
