On Friday the 12th of December the students in our two Autism classes went to see Santa in Lough Key Forest Park. The kids really enjoyed the day. We went for a walk around Lough Key while we waited on Santa to arrive. When Santa arrived he had lots of lovely presents for the kids. We also had the pleasure of be chaufoured by the Garda community bus to and from Lough Key. A lovely day was enjoyed by everyone.
it has been lovely having our four students back in our Junior Autism Class this year along with the arrival of two new Junior Infants to our room who are settling in well to the class.
We took advantage of the sun and treated ourselves to a picnic in the forest which gave a reprieve from the heat of the sun. It was great to have the girls from 5th class to assist with the set up. Everyone enjoyed a variety of treats and drinks.
It was lovely having some pupils from 5th class down to assist with activities and games in the Junior Autism Class.
